3 km from the village of Lugros, 20 km from Guadix, 60 km from Granada capital.
Guadix (distance 16km, 20.000 habitants) has an impressing cathedral of the XVI century, a quarter with caves called
Barrio de Santiago, an old town centre with monastery, Jewish quarter, remains of the arabe wall Alcazaba.

El Picón de Jérez with its altitude of 3094 m is dominating the landscape of the region of Guadix and Marquesado del Zenete.
The Sierra Nevada with its peaks of 3000 to 3400 m altitude is protected because of its variety of flora and fauna in the
PARQUES NACIONAL y NATURAL DE SIERRA NEVADA.
The samll village of Lugros (distance 3km, 400 habitants) has two super markets, a tobacco shop (with a lot of other things to buy as well),
a pharmacy and two bars, where you can have a drink or two with tapa with the residents from the village.
The village of Purullena (distance 13km, 2.000 habitants) is popular for its pottery stalls and its cave houses.
In the cave museum you can see how comfortably people can live inside.
Granada, the provincial capital (distance 65km, 200.000 habitants). You can't miss to visit the world famous Alhambra.
It is worth as well to visit the arabe quarter Albayzin, the huge cathedral, the historic district and a lot more.
